I tried running DDU in safe mode, which worked no problem, and then grabbed the driver installers directly from Nvidia's website nvidia driver wont download suggested but it STILL fails to install the graphics drivers. DO NOT USE SAVED SNAPSHOT as that has private information that is removed in PUBLISHED SNAPSHOT In the DDU folder in a LOGS folder. Using DROPBOX send me all the logs please. Do not post them on an OPEN forum because if to many DL them Dropbox will close the account.
I have your exact problem man. When you go to install, it's the Graphics Driver installation that fails, right? I used to be able to update my drivers very easily. I didn't even have to turn off my Anti-Virus, but I still do it just to be safe. Now when I try to just normally install updates, the Graphics Driver installation will fail. AV on or not. A workaround to get the drivers to install is this: Go into safe mode.
Try installing the drivers in safe mode. This has worked most of the time for me. Use Display Driver Uninstaller, and reinstall from scratch. Hit yes, wait a couple minutes, and your computer will restart in safe mode, and then re-open the application.
Hit uninstall and restart, let it do it's thing, restart, and then try installing the drivers. More recently, this is what I've had to do for every update for the past few months.
It's getting extremely aggravating, as I have profiles for my games in the control panel and whatnot, nvidia driver wont download, that get deleted If that doesn't work, try hitting uninstall and DON'T restart.
Make sure you have the drivers downloaded or start in Safe Mode With Networking, nvidia driver wont download, and install it in safe mode. Always had massive problems with Ndvidia's drivers, but they always after a long while will fix it. Best of luck to you buddy. I have had the exact same problem since about August. Basically it started on the first driver update AFTER win 10 came out.
