There is absolutely no difference from a "digital" copy and a "physical" copy beyond the source of the code ie "physical" copies the information from a disc, digital copies the exact same information from the server. while you may only be able to purchase the dlc by purchasing this bundle you mention, buy game digitally use physical disc to download ps4, once it's on your drive there is absolutely no way for the machine to tell the non existant difference.

Just to reitterate if the special DLC is a seperate file that you can download regardless of the conditions required to obtain it in the first place once purchased there shouldn't be a problem in installing the game from a disc and then downloading the DLC, it should work because the game installation itself is exactly the same.
Whether the game is coded to prevent this or not is another matter, save files can be flagged as physical or digital and I suppose it's possible to do the same with DLC but to the best of my knowledge it doesn't happen.
